This is a Art Nouveau Decorating Style. Art Nouveau Decorating Style began to emerge in the 1890s with the Arts & Crafts movement. Very artistic and drew its sinuous patterns of nature and the arts. The lines are curved like plants and themes are influenced by nature – butterflies, dragonflies, birds, peacock feathers, and vines. The curves and floral patterns are very common in Art Nouveau style.

Art Nouveau colors are subtle and muted pastels and include olive, mustard, brown, lavender, sage, white and black outside, peacock blue and gold. The wallsare decorated with wallpaper of flowers or floral motifs. The materials used in the Art Nouveau stained wood and iron.
Stained glass can be used in lighting and windows that offer a more ornate Art Nouveau interior design. Iron is particularly curved and sinuous Art Nouveau. Often imitated flowers and plants, arches and door jambs are alsowinding and rare.
Do not confuse the Art Nouveau to Art Deco or otherwise. They are two different styles. Although Art Nouveau disappeared into the Second World War, Art Deco, was born around 1920 and 30. Art Deco is about luxury materials, design, strongand stylish looks. The Art Nouveau inspired by the ecological character, allowingthe use of wood and organic painted wallpaper.
