The school project is self-sufficient with renewable energy and the use of natural light and ventilation.
More and more groups to design and integrate renewable energy into their designs. As the cost of conventional fuels can not be lowered, we understand the value of alternative forms of energy. Not only is there an endless supply, but are cleaner.
This Shortlist_0 sustainable design proposed for the school in Cleveland, Ohio Campus last international or IEC. The building will be built from below ground level and work your way up. The entire structure will have a great dome-shaped solar panels and triple crystal glass. Solar panels, representing 770 photovoltaic panels to harvest energy from the sun, which can then be converted into electrical energy.This is used to power lights, heating systems and other machines which depend on electricity. Solar thermal tubes is also used to produce hot water. A massive 90,000 kWh of energy waiting to be exploited. The glasses act as triple glazing and insulation shall be colored and positioned so that no additional heat or glare.
While the school will be built from below ground, the surrounding areas will be excavated and constructed to let in natural light. The windows are placed in strategic locations to allow air and light enough. The classrooms surround a central atrium that illuminates the area. The atrium will also be used as a meeting place for students to interact. The school also has a house roof garden, which is for students in kindergarten through 12 horticultural studies.
The platforms consist of 62 class platforms on 135,000 square feet of interior space. Each platform will host groups of classrooms, laboratories and workshops that will be shared by students. The school has an ADA ramp, which is the beginning of a continuous spiral of lower level all the way to the garden of the sky at the top. Three elevators will be administered by the school, which arrived at the Sky Garden.
The school will also be a protected park for young children, street-level entrance and food service.
Shortlist_0 design is unique in that it attempts to use all solutions ‘natural’. The glass dome enclosing the whole structure ensures that energy consumption is minimized during the day, more light is let the fans strategically located to the air as needed, leaving the need for air conditioning behind. Solar panels, meanwhile, denies the need for traditional forms of energy, which means less carbon emissions.
